Abiding Precepts – The Witnesses

The three witnesses of the Book of Mormon and the eight witnesses had a unique experience most of us will never have: they saw the plates! And the three witnesses saw them by angelic ministration. As such their testimonies contain instruction that can have power in our lives.

Passage #1

And we know that if we are faithful in Christ, we shall rid our garments of the blood of all men, and be found spotless before the judgment-seat of Christ

Precept #1

Choose to live, represent, and defend Jesus Christ’s teachings and commandments – no matter the cost.


Has choosing to follow and represent the Savior allowed you to feel clean and acceptable before him?


Passage #2

And the honor be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Ghost, which is one God. Amen.

Testimony of Three Witnesses

Precept #2

Do all that you do in order to bring honor to God.


How does trying to bring honor to God impact your decision making? What do you do to bring honor to Him.


Passage #3

. . . for we have seen and hefted, and know of a surety that the said Smith has got the plates of which we have spoken. And we give our names unto the world, to witness unto the world that which we have seen. And we lie not, God bearing witness of it.

Precept #3

Share your personal witness of the Savior and His restored gospel with the people around you.


How does sharing your testimony with others affect your relationship with Heavenly Father? How does it affect your relationship with those you share it with?
